Buying a home? Is it easy? Hard? What do I need to do, you ask.
Here are 10 things that you will have to do to purchase a home. So, without further ado.
- You will need to gather financial information on yourself and whomever is going to be on a loan with you (unless you are paying with cash).
- You will need to determine what factors you home will need to have; How many bedrooms, in a city or the country, school district.........
- Where are you going to apply for a loan?
- Get a pre-qualification letter. Many home owners will not consider an offer if it does not include a pre-qualification letter.
- Figure out amount of a loan, insurance and taxes you are willing to pay each month.
- Find out if the home you purchase will need appliances that you currently do not own.
- Get inspections on the home such as structural, wood destroying organisms, or septic if it has one.
- Find what companies you will need to contract with for Trash, Water, Electricity, etc. AND have the up front costs they will require.
- Have money for a down payment, depending on the loan type;VA, FHA, Conventional
- Have money for closing.
These are things that most people are not aware of on their first home purchase. Scary? Maybe, but I am here to help you through these things to get you to the finish line on the closing table.
